An analysis of the article “Six Reasons Insurgencies Lose: A Contrarian View by Donald Stoker” and applying to the forces of Freedom

Insurgencies do win, and most of the writing and talking about insurgencies (which is often very good) focuses on what insurgencies do to win, or how to conduct an effective counterinsurgency. More often, insurgencies lose, and sometimes their defeats are a result of the inherent weaknesses of insurgencies, or of their own actions. There are six critical reasons why insurgencies lose, curses brought down upon their own houses, and not induced by counterinsurgent forces.

This is an opening quote to the article I will reference to and through it analyze America’s Freedom Movement and the Militia Movement and III Movement in particular, the latter a fresh wave of armed, responsible Americans. 

1. Insurgencies are weak in comparison to their opponents.

This is unavoidable: a government will typically have more resources due to controlling a nation-state than an insurgency, however the exact nature of just how they’re weak will vary greatly and that will greatly affect their strategy and tactics.  For America’s Freedom Fighters, their enemy is largely clear cut:

*Approximately 1 million in law enforcement, which includes everything from local to state to the various federal agencies, but they will have due to pushes among the LE community have automatic weapons, military pattern semi-automatic rifles along with pistols, shotguns, light aircraft and helicopters, and lightly armored vehicles specifically suited for LE applications.  Assume that every patrol car has some kind of patrol rifle.  Also assume there’s a tactical team that can be quickly called upon, and they’re equipped and geared toward assaulting homes, not full bore military operations.  Most local police officers will be in their profession for exercising the power inherent in their job against average Americans in the form of issuing tickets and fines, and committing violent assault although there is a hard core minority among them that are active serial killers, in or out of their tactical units.   Also, the ten years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan is producing a new generation of combat capable police officers-too many of whom will do what they’re told to do and will have enough combat experience to make them opponents to be respected, though they are yet to be the majority in the local police forces.  That will change for the worse the longer revolution is delayed.

State law enforcement have more stringent training, indoctrination, and have proven to be more willing to enforce the legal codes.  They have also been willing to call upon local units and let them be used as sandbags with heartbeats for their targets.  Being a state law enforcement agency, they have access to a somewhat higher standard of resources and training for their dedicated tactical units, and their coverage is statewide; a rapid LE reaction force to any problem that is beyond a local department’s ability to engage.  They also pilot all the news helicopters and they’re universally equipped to be reconnaissance platforms with FLIR and optical sights.

The various federal civilian law enforcement and regulatory agencies are as well or even better armed than their state and local counterparts.  They also have access to fully armed military fighting vehicles such as the M2 Bradley AFV with its 25mm autocannon and TOW missiles, and ready access to national reconnaissance assets such as satellites and armed drones such as the Predator.  Their tactical teams are a notch higher in training and indoctrination over state and local equivalents and they too act as a rapid reaction force to augment local authorities.  All will have varying degrees of competency, dedication, and training that range from openly dissenting to quietly dissenting, to those simply wanting the power inherent in the job, to those that have staked their lives and fortunes to the enemy.

* The U.S. Military has in recent years established NORTHCOM which has command over the entire North American continent.  National Guard forces can be counted among their number and they field the full range of ground and air assets outside of strategic forces.  Along with at least ten Army Brigade Combat Teams equipped with armor and artillery, there are the entire range of military assets based in America, and in spite of being engaged in Afghanistan, Iraq still, and over 700 bases globally, can likely field over a hundred thousand heavily armed troops for any action in America.  Furthermore, the full range of naval and air forces are available on tap as needed; everything from drones, to fighter bombers to B1, B2, and B52 bombers.  Their loyalty to the U.S. Government is an issue the enemy is constantly analyzing and dealing with, as there’s still a hard corps of Patriots among their ranks, and although they’ve transferred as many of them to foreign theaters as possible there is the worry (for them) about dissenters being motivated enough to mutiny and take themselves and their weapons over to any Patriot fighting groups.  Also, there is a continuous and nearly universal attack on veterans, an effort to find legal or medical reasons to disarm or commit them to mental institutions.  These systematic attacks however, don’t apply to those veterans entering law enforcement to give them a growing cadre of combat veterans.  Overall, the U.S. Government has done their utmost to ensure that all their forces that will be engaging Patriots are on their side though they cannot be certain of their performance.  Neither can we until open hostilities break out.

*Being a member of NATO, the United States can as needed call upon the forces of Canada and Western Europe to augment any U.S. Government forces as needed.  Recent sightings of Mexican, Chinese and Russian military forces in joint exercises with NATO indicates that foreign military forces outside of formal alliances will be used, perhaps under a United Nations mandate.  The rest of NATO’s non-nuclear/strategic military is about equal overall to America’s in numbers and mostly, training.  Mexico has a sizeable ground force military as much equipped with American arms as they are with Chinese, and China fields the largest army on Earth, with access to enough oceangoing merchant vessels to be able to project that power globally, as well as a greatly underestimated strategic capability-a recent study estimated China has over 3,000 nuclear weapons, making them a superpower rival on paper to the U.S. though they will very likely go along with any request for forces for the American theater. 

Contrasting that to any American insurgency, and calculating strength and capability is not nearly as clear.  There are hundreds of millions of guns, uncountable billions of rounds, which although new production and supply is being cut off, the proverbial barn door’s been long open.  There is a roughly estimated one hundred million American gun owners, millions of former serving veterans, millions of active hunters, and perhaps a few million who are III Percent, or are actually in militias-arguably the majority of whom the enemy can only suspect of being among their ranks.  Armament will range from military surplus bolt action and semi-automatic rifles rebuilt from surplus automatic weapons or new production copies that are only semi-auto.  There is also a surprisingly large number of vintage former military armored vehicles, and an uncountable number of automatic and heavy weaponry that were never registered with the government under the 1968 Gun Control Act, or simply taken back from the battlefields of World War Two, Korea, Vietnam.  Mexico is also a potential source of military grade small arms bought by the drug cartels or stolen from the Mexican military though establishing relationships and trade will likely be problematic until battlefield victories can be translated into held territory and acquiring the means to trade, but perhaps when that happens Americans can produce their own weapons.  

Air defense assets are nil however and acquiring and developing anti-air weaponry and combat aircraft will have to be a priority that will be largely contingent on acquiring production capacity and being able to hold the territory wherever it’s built.  Anything beyond the radio controlled toy drones being deployed for infantry units will require a substantial investment in developing or acquiring new weapons.  Surface to air and air to air missiles require a guidance system, warhead and rocket motor, and eventually some form of high performance aircraft will have to be acquired or built.

The biggest x factor will be just how much of the military and law enforcement forces of the U.S. will openly join the Second American Revolution, and just how motivated any foreign forces will be; Russian military forces have reportedly taken a sober view about fighting in America, though nothing can be counted on.  All that being said, unless the enemy fields nuclear weapons, the biggest assets American Patriots will have are time and the skills and inventiveness of the people who worked for what was the greatest industrial and technological power on Earth.   However, Americans greatest fault is that they are by and large among the most heavily conditioned and brainwashed people on Earth, and Patriots are largely ostracized.

 2. Insurgencies are fractious.

Any American insurgency will be composed of thousands of small groups, millions of individuals who will have widely varying goals, and even more widely varying ideals on how to achieve said goals.  Many of which will be at cross purposes, but infighting will likely be simply over a lack of resources or simply because the U.S. Government has invested in penetrating and subverting both the Militia and Patriot Movements: to sow division as well as finding out who’s who and where they live so they can neatly be taken out by a ‘natural gas explosion’ caused by a 500lb bomb dropped from a drone piloted by some 400lb nerd in the Nevada Desert or Virginia who hasn’t seen his toes since childhood and a bath for about that long.  This author’s experiences in the Patriot Movement have confirmed that penetration and subversion to prevent effective peaceful solutions has been the enemy’s strategic goal and they have been widely successful in diverting Americans efforts towards lame Presidential candidates, money bombs for media facilities that go largely underutilized, or wild, unsupported speculations.  Most of the personalities in the Movement are there to make a profit and to ensure you’re kept in paralyzing fear or in a false hope that someone else will solve the problem, either case, it has effectively neutralized politically, the Patriot Movement.  The economic and cultural dissolution and destruction of our nation have attacked greatly Americans ability to be able to participate in the Patriot effort.  The enemy’s ownership of major media and control over the internet and most all forms of electronic communication ensure that the truth doesn’t get out; so much so that all they have to do is fling a mass culture programmed slur such as “tin foil hat” or “conspiracy theorist” and the vast majority of Americans will automatically tune out any truth that they hear unless they’ve had something catastrophic happen, such as the loss of their job, home, or some of the state’s bureaucrats and law enforcement minions have decided to target them.  Which has happened to millions of people as the enemy’s zeal to destroy Our America has produced the very army that will crush them very soon. 

In a war for America, it will be all but impossible to predict just how the fractiousness of American Patriots will be, save that there will certainly be internal conflicts.

3. Insurgencies are leader dependent (sometimes).

America is run by the cult of personality; we are conditioned to worship those lauded in the media, whether they be politicians or celebrities.  A close cousin to this is the deference to anyone in authority-again something media instilled and not part of the historical American experience.  The Patriot Movement is no different and except for a few obvious and obnoxious exceptions who can be figured to be deep cover operatives, the ingrained reflex of Americans to follow a charismatic leader is automatically followed. 

Wars produce leaders-those who clearly see problems and try to solve them with varying degrees of success but in spite of the above, America’s fractiousness, yet universally held righteous anger towards the U.S. Government will mean there may be dozens of leaders that arise.  Or it may be one man or woman who takes action, has a clear vision and a practical course of action to achieve victory.  Leaders can lead, or they die and become martyrs, inspiring more people to take up the actions they initiated.  Or, taking out said leadership would send the thousands of small groups, millions of active American insurgents into a death spiral of infighting… but likely not given the size of the enemy and just how monstrously they’ve acted against us.  Open warfare begins in America and enemy initiatives to decapitate any insurgency might backfire.

4. The tactics insurgents use alienate the very people they are trying to win over.

Americans are still in the mainstream a highly moral people, greatly hesitant to resort to violence which is the biggest reason there hasn’t been a much needed Second American Revolution.  It is a trait the enemy has exploited and is counting on until they figure it’s too late.  On the other hand, Americans during war are the most fearsome fighters on Earth.  Vicious, unmerciful, and technologically and tactically proficient, the American fighting man was responsible for winning against the technologically superior German Wehrmacht and fanatical Japanese during World War Two, held the line against both millions of Chinese troops and a traitorous U.S. Government during Korea, and devastated Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, killing millions. 

Americans have a deep, festering reservoir of rage against the same U.S. Government as they’ve been at war against the American People for generations.  Any faction of Americans who remain loyal to said government volunteer to put on themselves their wrath.  Said factions of urban liberals and welfare enslaved in general don’t have a grasp of American history to appreciate what horrors await them.  Unfortunately, a lot of people still trying to live their lives, to stay on the fence, who might’ve been shown the futility of trying to remain peaceable, moral in a time where it’s needed for them to participate in purging this nation will also be targeted with the same ferociousness and rage: a lot of people that could’ve been won over, won’t.  This will also further compress anyone in solidly U.S. Government controlled areas to further embrace their enslavers in order to save themselves from the horror.  American Patriots however, can win over a lot of those who’ve never been properly and fairly exposed to Patriot ideals simply by retaining that moral high ground, to not take from anyone but ask, to respect them and their property.  A simple matter of respect will go a very long way towards winning hearts and minds as the enemy couldn’t give a damn about respect-and goes all out to seeing just how less respectful they can be.  They’re very good at that.

5. The ideas and/or the rule of the insurgents are simply disliked.

This is where the enemy has most widely succeeded.  Through generations of state run schools, domination of the media and through that American mass culture, the ideals of the Patriot Movement, militias, self-sufficiency, and self-defense have been made to be blasphemous to the American People-and no that’s not too strong a word.  The scientifically perfected conditioning through entertainment and implanted cultural memes has produced in Americans minds a hatred and fear of Freedom; they’d rather be comfortable in the enemy’s faux gold paint gilded cage; safe in the mental matrix.  It’s only when they’re torn from this matrix by job loss, assault, or incarceration that they can even begin to see the truth of their situation-and yet their conditioning and indoctrination continue to sabotage their efforts to sort things out for themselves, and a hesitancy to openly join the Patriot Movement lest they receive the same ostracizing they heaped on them themselves by their own conditioning and indoctrination. 

Patriot ideals are imaginary notions, untested theory to most Americans who have never known what Freedom is but are told they are ‘free’.  That is why this author has been active in the Patriot Movement since 2005 in advocating giving Americans a working real-life model of what being Free actually is like: by organizing a recall election, with a full slate of candidates to take over a town.  Make said town a showcase of Freedom, and use it as a springboard for peaceably arranging the same in neighboring towns, counties, and eventually states.  Such a plan is why this author has been systematically stiff armed from the controlled, gatekeeper-ran Patriot Movement by the government COINTEL plants who will report all day on government atrocities, promote all manner of New Age nonsense, promote uselessly symbolic gestures, sell you t-shirts and memberships all day long, but suppress any practical peaceable solutions while they might’ve worked.  Such a strategy if it could have been implemented could’ve produced a much better strategic situation for the Patriot Movement.  This ignorance of what living truly Free is like will be the biggest reason why a Second American Revolution is going to be mightily opposed by a great horde of Americans who would otherwise greatly benefit from being freed of their enemy, the U.S. Government.  This will not be geographically uniform; major urban areas will likely be hostile territory, while the countryside where some measure of Freedom still exists will likely be fertile ground for liberation.  Likely… again the aforementioned factors will work both for and against Patriots in ways that can and will be hard to foresee. 

6. Insurgents sometimes pursue bad strategy.

Which is seen all the time in the Freedom Movement and the militias, and tragically it isn’t always sabotage by counter-intelligence operatives and shysters.  Americans have been engineered to be a trusting and naïve people.  They trust their celebrities and authorities and this trust extends to anyone in a leadership capacity.  Not all Patriot leaders are Pied Pipers but many operate off of faulty viewpoints and knowledge that generate faulty strategy.  Doubling down on Ron Paul in 2012 when he proved four years earlier he wouldn’t challenge vote fraud, wouldn’t promote local initiatives yet kept the tens of millions of dollars spontaneously contributed by his rabidly loyal followers is one glaring example that has crippled the Patriot Movement.    

The movement’s lack of political, social, and economic initiative prevents growth of numbers and potential alliances with outcast groups as well as millions of formerly mainstream Americans who have had their lives and livelihood brutally taken from them by the enemy.  Better they are misled, to wait for the collapse and let it happen as they’re told it will take the government with them, but they have engineered this collapse and have spent trillions preparing for it, and our reaction when they strip the last of the gilding from our collective cage.  Millions of Americans have already had it happen on an individual level but most are so socially atomized it isn’t noticed. 

Libertarians are all about symbolic stands that might produce some media and acclaim among themselves but are too insular, too close-minded, too arrogant to see they’re utterly ineffective politically or socially, delusions about Ron Paul set aside.  They lack a real life model showcasing how their ideals would work in the real world and by their activity across the nation and in New Hampshire and Wyoming in particular show no indication they’re willing to implement one. 

The Prepper Movement will likely attempt to cocoon themselves from their expected form of utter collapse and count on repelling the starving hordes, but it will be by the muzzles of government guns that will spell their doom.  Perhaps the recent false flag school shooting at Sandy Hook will change enough minds to help increase the ranks of Patriots, or perhaps they’ll strike some deals that will prove to be in vain-although even a farmer can feed a fighting group.

Fans of Alex Jones will wage their “infowar” and continue to finance his mansion, secret bunker, that ever-expanding studio he hardly uses, and his Dodge Challenger… right up to when the last of them gets thrown on a bus to a camp or dug pit.

The III Percent Movement, defecting police and military, veterans and Militias will be the fighting foundation of the Second American Revolution-they are the only potentially effective solution left.  However, they are mostly conservative, seeking to only defend, or simply find a reason not to act.

All the above will likely be the root of some very bad strategic goals and policies by themselves, conflicting goals will easily lead to various fighting groups being cut off and wiped out with other groups nearby who won’t due to some disagreement, or worse, they fight each other.  Given the utter penetration of the Patriot Movement and militias by the enemy, any American insurgency runs the grave risk of sabotage and being led into lethal traps on the battlefield.

SOLUTIONS

1.)We need numbers, in order to take territory, in order to acquire food, resources, production capacity in order to build the weapons we can’t take from the battlefield or get in trade in order to eventually negate the enemy’s advantages in heavy weaponry and technology.  We also need to gain as much territory as possible in order to isolate all the enemy strongholds.  A map of the United States:

Alaska and Hawaii’s fate will depend on whether the contiguous U.S.A. can be won. 

New England and the Eastern Seaboard will be solidly government territory, with a few isolated pockets of resistance that will quickly be crushed.  Once the Appalachian Mountains are hit however, the situation is reversed; Patriot fighting groups will likely arise from upper New York State through Pennsylvania, Southeastern Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, the Virginias, the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi.    All of these states will need to be taken over and held fast.  Ohio will be particularly strategic as it’s a crossroads state, with Cincinnatti, Columbus, and Cleveland-Akron-Youngstown that will have to be taken over.  Michigan past Detroit and the greater Chicago metropolitan area is solidly Patriot, but the Mississippi and Ohio River Valley will be held hard.  Minneapolis-St. Paul, St. Louis, Cincinnatti, Pittsburgh, Memphis, and New Orleans will be strongholds that need to fall in order to gain control of the rivers.  West of the Mississippi, the enemy don’t hold states so much as strongpoints until California is reached; Denver, Cheyenne, Salt Lake City, and the military bases are going to be strongpoints that need to be isolated.  Once Nevada’s reached, that’s going to be controlled from Southern California which will link up with the Seattle area down the Pacific Coast.  A lot of territory but few people and few roads.

The Key to a Patriot Victory on the strategic level is if the Mississippi River Valley and its tributaries can be won and held, and Ohio in order to connect solidly with Appalachia and hopefully be able to help rural New England as they will be in a bad strategic vise between the Eastern Seaboard and Canada.  Michigan must hold as well so that Canada is held back and Chicago can be besieged.  If Chicago can be neutralized or taken through a prolonged siege, the great heartland of America can be taken, and it will be a matter of taking on the East and West Coasts.  Texas must be held as well in order to block Mexico.

2.)To gain those numbers the American insurgency must, must embrace anyone willing to be Free.  Class, cultural and racial differences must be set aside in order to purge our land of the enemy. 

3.)To attract new people, the Freedom Movement must become much more willing to help Americans outside of their circles… or even willing to help those they count within their circles.  I will cite one glaring example where that failed: Charles Dyer.  He was a Marine who spoke out during the Bush years, got in trouble for it, and went to trial three times over a bogus airsoft copy of a grenade launcher, and totally made up child molestation charges, the last they won by making him flee for his life when his home and all his exculpatory evidence was burned in an act of arson-and the judge only gave him a week delay as his trial was going to start the next Monday from the incident.  He fled, was sold out by his contacts, was caught shirtless in Texas trying to get a drink at a restaurant.  Dyer’s final trial was basically one day mostly held in the judge’s chambers and he was sent to prison for 30 years.  This author attempted repeatedly to rally support for Dyer but was stymied at every turn by COINTEL operators like “mamaliberty” and probably worse, endemic indifference. 

Common gangbangers can count on support for their trial and in prison.  When they get out, they are not on their ass.  That the Patriot Movement could learn from street thugs is by itself testament enough to how ineffective the ‘movement’ has been led to be.  It’s a testament to how the ‘movement’ has been left in the hands of celebrity gatekeepers who effectively neutralize it for the enemy.

The solution is simply this: we all must be leaders.  We must retain our righteousness while unleashing our righteous wrath upon the enemy.  We must be as willing to lead as to follow.  Most importantly, we must ruthlessly pursue strategies and policies that will bring victory, and weed out the traitors among us.

Americans will never know what Freedom is until we actively pursue it for ourselves.  This runs the gamut from not paying taxes, working the underground economy, not applying for licenses, to making showcase communities such as the experiment in Idaho by some III’ers but taking over a small town and making it a showcase would much more rapidly make our point.  Events and traitors in our midst dissembling our efforts however have made those options increasingly non-viable, we will have to win our Freedom by force of arms.

"Criminals With Badges": Denver's Militarized Police

"I been forced to write my own laws, and you violated one in there. I just have to find you guilty of contempt of cop."


Bumper Morgan, Joseph Wambaugh's eponymous Blue Knight, justifying his brutal assault on a young man who had casually insulted him.



Jared Lunn, a 21-year-old volunteer firefighter from Brighton, Colorado, visited Denver's LoDo district to celebrate a friend's birthday. The evening was quite pleasant until Jared, who was carrying a pizza and minding his own business, was suddenly punched in the face and knocked flat by someone he had never met.



Shortly after the assailant scurried away the police arrived, and Jared's night took a pronounced turn for the worse.



Perhaps Jared was unaware of the axiom that it is never a good idea to ask the police for help.



Perhaps the fact that he is involved in a "public safety" role led Jared to assume that the police would treat him with courtesy and professionalism. In any case, Jared told Officer Eric Sellers that he had just been assaulted and that he wanted to press charges. Sellers told the victim to go home, and he wasn't impressed when Jared appealed to him as a fellow "public servant."



"Way to `protect and serve,'" muttered Jared in disgust as he walked away.



A violent assault on a mere Mundane is a trivial matter -- but this was a clear-cut case of "contempt of cop," and it could not go unpunished.



Sellers seized Jared and threw him to the ground. While screaming a steady stream of profanities at the terrified young man, Sellers beat him and applied a vicious choke hold. After Jared's body went limp, Sellers wrenched his hands behind his back and handcuffed him with such violence that the victim wouldn't have full use of his hands for a week.



This felonious assault took place in the presence of two other police officers who, in keeping with the oath-bound discipline of their brotherhood, refused to intervene.



"This guy (Sellers) does this all the time," one of the bully's comrades told Chris Fuchs, an eyewitness to the November 23, 2008 assault, after Jared was released. "We don't know how he gets away with it." The obvious reply would be: "He gets away with it because of the guilty collaboration of `good cops' like you."



Two months later, Sellers became annoyed with a young man named John Crespin,whose behavior struck the officer as "nosy." Sellers pulled up into the driveway of John's home and ordered the young man out of the car.



As John complied, his shoulder brushed lightly against Sellers's arm. Infuriated that a Mundane had defiled his sanctified personage through incidental contact, Sellers inflicted a dose of summary "street justice" as an act of ritual purification.



Just as he did to Jared Lunn, Sellers put John in a chokehold while spitting obscenities in his face. After handcuffing the victim, Sellers used his police baton to lift the young man a couple of feet from the ground, then dropped him face-first into the driveway. The representative of the Denver city government's punitive priesthood dragged the bloodied man off the pavement, draped him over the hood of his police car, and administered the laying on of hands.



"He started punching me in the sides while I was already handcuffed," Crespin later told the local NBC affiliate. "I told him to quit, quit, and he wouldn't quit. He did it one more time and he grabbed my face and said, `Who the f*** do you think you are?'"



After being beaten into a lumpy mess, John Crespin -- despite the absence of a criminal history -- was charged with "felony menacing." Terrified and worried about being separated from his newborn child, Crespin accepted a plea bargain agreement that resulted in probation.



Sellers was later found to have used "inappropriate force" against Jared Lunn. The same review found that the officer had compounded that offense through the "commission of a deceptive act" -- that is, lying to internal affairs investigators. According to the Denver PD's existing disciplinary guidelines, this is cause for "presumptive termination." Yet Sellers continues to draw a paycheck as a member of the police force afflicting Denver.



In fact, Sellers -- who, according to his colleagues, commits criminal assaults against innocent people "all the time" -- complained in a court filing that the disciplinary action against him was "excessive," because it specified that another episode of that kind would result in immediate termination.



Denver's Citizen Oversight Board insists, correctly, that Sellers should have been fired already (and prosecuted as well). The Denver Police Protective Association -- that is, local armed tax-feeder union -- has Sellers's back, of course.



This isn't surprising, given that in September 2008 -- just weeks before Sellers assaulted Jared Lunn -- the Denver police union distributed t-shirts to its members depicting a baton-wielding riot cop rising ominously about the city's skyline.



"We get up early, to BEAT the crowds," gloated the inscription. Each member of the Denver PD received one of the commemorative t-shirts, which were created in anticipation of the 2008 Democratic National Convention.



Sellers apparently perceived that ill-advised pun as a directive and took it to what passes for his heart. Interestingly, Sellers owes his continued employment to a figure who played a critical role in the militarized security preparations for the 2008 convention: Ron Perea, who until recently was Manager of Safety for the City of Denver.



Perea was the Secret Service Special Agent in Charge during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. His previous experience included a stint as head of the Denver Field Office for the Secret Service, a position on the executive board of the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force in Los Angeles, and five years on the Albuquerque Police Department.



It's difficult to imagine someone whose career offers a better core sample of contemporary law enforcement at all levels. So it's quite significant that Perea, as Safety Manager, defined his job in terms of protecting the career prospects of abusive police, rather than protecting the public. As Safety Manager, Perea had the final say regarding complaints of excessive force. His decisions reflected an obvious desire to placate the demands of the police union, rather than holding abusive cops accountable for their offenses.



Perea resigned his post on August 31, barely three months into his $152,000-a-year job, because of rising public disgust over his handling of several recent episodes of criminal violence by the Denver PD. In addition to the leniency he had displayed toward Sellers, Perea refused to discipline Officer Devin Sparks, who severely beat Michael DeHerrera on a LoDo street corner in April 2009.



DeHerrera's friend, Shawn Johnson, had been ejected from a local club after an altercation with a bouncer. When the police arrived, they "arrested" Johnson so violently that DeHerrera made a frantic phone call to his father, Pueblo County Sheriff's Deputy Anthony DeHerrera.



"They're beating up Shawn -- what do I do?" a panicked Herrera asked his father. This apparently is what provoked Sparks to blind-side Herrera, slamming him to the sidewalk and repeatedly beating him with a leather-shrouded metal club called a "sap."



This much is captured by one of the Panopticon-style High Activity Location Observation (HALO) cameras scattered throughout that section of Denver. However, just as Sparks lays into Hererra, the camera -- which was operated by a Denver PD officer in real time -- suddenly pans up and away from the scene.



Detective John White, a spokesman for the Denver PD, insists that this wasn't an Orwellian "rectification" in real time, but rather a result of a camera following a pre-set program. Whether or not this is true, there is compelling evidence that Sparks and his partner, Corporal Randy Murr, took immediate action to cover up the crime. That evidence, interestingly, comes from an unimpeachable law enforcement source -- Deputy Anthony DeHerrera, who overheard the officers via his son's still-active cell phone.



"The last thing we (the elder DeHerrera and his wife) heard was, `We've got to get rid of the phone, they're recording us.'" The phone went dead -- leaving Michael's parents to wonder if the same was true of their son.



After being beaten unconscious, DeHerrera was charged with "resisting" and "interfering" with the officers, but those charges were eventually dismissed.


 
The official report filed by Sparks claimed that as Corporal Murr was detaining Shawn Johnson, DeHerrera "was about 1 ft. away and began yelling and screaming at the officers. I advised him numerous times to get back and he refused. I then attempted to detain the defendant at which time he tensed up, made a fist and bladed his body. He then spun to his left attempting to strike me in the face with a closed right fist. I then took him to the ground where he attempted to strike me again...."




In his analysis of the video and other evidence, Richard Rosenthal, Denver's Independent Police Monitor,concluded that the beating was an unwarranted act of violence and that the report filed by Sparks and Murr was "pure fiction."



"In fact, the video shows that the complainant (DeHerrera) did not make any aggressive moves toward (Sparks)," wrote Rosenthal in his review of the case. "Although the complainant was not complying with (Sparks's) orders to get on the ground, the complainant did not make any attempt to strike (Sparks), either before being taken to the ground or upon being taken to the ground." In fact, as Rosenthal observes, the reports filed by Sparks and Murr were completely untainted by the truth.



Perea, claiming that unspecified "witness testimony" substantiated the claim that DeHerrera had threatened the officers, insisted that the "totality" of circumstances justified the beating.



Despite finding Sparks and Murr guilty of falsifying official reports, Perea claimed that they were guilty of "inconsistencies" and "misperceptions," rather than "`willful, intentional, or knowing deception,'" and thus weren't subject to summary termination.



Rather than cashiering the perjurious police officers, Perea merely suspended them three days and "fined" one of them the equivalent of three days' pay. In a footnote to his summary, Rosenthal notes that one of the officers (most likely Sparks) "received more serious discipline because that officer had a prior disciplinary history."



In other words, he was a recidivist and proven perjurer. Nonetheless, Perea perversely insisted that he was still qualified to prowl the streets of Denver armed with various implements of violence and clothed in the supposed authority to inflict lethal violence on anyone who refused to comply with his whims.



Shortly before Perea's resignation, video footage surfaced of another police beat-down as summary punishment for "interference and resistance," this one involving a hapless pedestrian named Mark Ashford.



While walking his dogs in downtown Denver last March 16, Ashford saw an officer pull over a motorist for supposedly running a stop sign.



Acting out of a commendable civic concern, Ashford tapped on the windshield and told the driver he'd be willing to testify that the motorist had actually come to a full stop. This provoked the officer to demand that Ashford provide ID -- a spurious, vindictive, and unwarranted order.



Ashford compiled, and then quite sensibly began to record the incident with his cellphone camera. This prompted the heroic officer to call for backup. The two tax-fattened bullies -- later identified as Officers John Diaz and Jeff Cook -- then shoved the slightly built pedestrian up against a bridge railing, repeatedly punching him and trying to steal the camera.



After beating Ashford into submission, the officers left him handcuffed in a crumpled heap. After being booked on spurious charges -- which were immediately dropped -- Ashford was hospitalized with a concussion and a cut over his right eye.


 
Seeking to placate growing public concern regarding criminal assaults by Denver police, Chief Gerald Whitman told the local NBC affiliate that "the police department is under control" and that it actually receives fewer use-of-force complaints than departments in most other major cities.




Jared Lunn, who eventually settled his lawsuit against the department, offers a different view.



"Denver police, to me, are basically criminals with badges," he told the Denver Post. "I have no respect for them (and) I somewhat fear them...."



Oddly enough, both Whitman and Lunn are correct: The militarized criminal syndicate called the Denver Police Department is not measurably worse than its counterparts in most major U.S. cities.

One Denver cop linked to two alleged beatings

DENVER - In two months, two young men claim Denver Police Officer Eric Sellers handcuffed them, beat them and then screamed obscenities at the top of his lungs in their faces, 9Wants to Know has learned. In both cases, the men have no criminal histories and claim Seller's actions were unprovoked.

- City councilman wants DPD procedures reviewed







"If they would have taken him off the force in November 2008, that incident with my son would have never taken place," Delilah Quintana, mother of John Crespin, said. "It would have never happened. My son would have never been beaten that bad. But they failed to do their jobs."



Crespin had a run in with Sellers in Jan. 20, 2009. That was just two months after Sellers confronted volunteer firefighter Jared Lunn in lower downtown Denver on Nov. 23, 2008.



Crespin claims Sellers pulled in his driveway behind him and asked him to get out of the car. When Crespin complied, he says his shoulder brushed Sellers arm and says the officer flew off the handle.



Crespin says Sellers first ripped off his necklace, put him in a chokehold, and then lifted him 3 feet off the ground with nothing but his police baton. Sellers allegedly let Crespin fall to the ground face first. Then, Crespin says Sellers pulled him over the police car and hit him.



"He started punching me in the sides while I was already handcuffed. He was punching me in the sides," Crespin said. "I told him to quit, quit and he wouldn't quit. He did it one more time and he grabbed my face and said, 'Who the F do you think you are?'"



Crespin, who did not have a criminal history, was charged with felony menacing. He pleaded guilty to the charge in June 2009 and received probation. Crespin maintains he only pleaded guilty because he was afraid of going to jail and not seeing his new baby.



The Denver Police Department has not yet responded to requests by 9Wants to Know to learn if the internal investigation is open or closed or what the findings might be. Sellers is currently on leave with the police department.



The case involving Sellers and Lunn was reopened Monday hours before Denver Manager of Safety Ron Perea submitted in his resignation.



Lunn claims Sellers assaulted him after he told the officer to do his job and arrest someone. Lunn claims Sellers choked him, handcuffed him and then screamed obscenities words at him in front of a dozen witnesses in front of a downtown Denver restaurant.



In both cases, Sellers has said in court, or through attorneys, he did not hit anyone or was not involved at all.



Denver Police Chief Gerald Whitman would not specifically address any specific cases on Tuesday because they are under investigation. He did say there valid reasons and times that officers need to use force to get someone under control or arrest.



"Sometimes officers have to defend themselves, go hands on and it's not real pretty if you're in a fight," Whitman said. "And not a lot of people have been in those situations."

We’re in a lot of trouble. I don’t need to tell you what you know first hand. For two generations now, America has been in economic and social decline. You been serving long enough, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

The factories and jobs have been systematically shipped overseas, creating pockets of poverty-and as you know, the poor are the most likely to resort to robbery, theft, drug dealing and using, prostitution and murder. Not too many middle class suburbs with a high crime rate… yet. America has fallen to the curse of lowered expectations; the attitude of “oh well, the good jobs are gone let’s take on a loan we can’t afford or get some lotto tickets” pervades a once prosperous, productive People as they willfully enter into the bonds of debt slavery. Someone came up with the “bright” ideal of welfare for anyone with a beating heart and generations of government dependants were raised-born expecting less for themselves and for their nation.

Decadence-the willful sloth and decay of moral standards of a once upright, proud American People… or enough of a rotted segment to bring the whole nation down. It seems Americans are allowing the rot, or don’t recognize the fall of a once great nation for what it is. Or they watch in dismay, helpless as to what they could possibly do to stem the tide of collapse.

Drugs; they’ve been pouring into the country for decades. The more money and resources devoted to capping the supply the more it springs back up. Too much money for people not to risk everything to smuggle it in, and distributed to people with typically too little money not to sell them on the street. Not to mention too much demand from people looking for any kind of out, even if it’s at the end of a hot crack pipe.

Addiction begets more crime as those desperate enough for a blast of crack or meth or the psychic comfort blanket of heroin will do whatever it takes to get and stay high. Many a pawn shop and drug house stays fat with cash from all the crimes the addicts commit to maintain their habits.

And while in certain jurisdictions you have your hands full dealing with the addicts and the street dealers that like weeds never disappear, corruption has taken over business and government like a insidious virus. Businessmen and government officials work together to weigh the rules of the “game” in their favor and fleece the American People of every last dollar, every last possession they can wring out of them… when they’re not trying to screw each other. Worse, they wield enough power and influence to warp the all-too-many laws you’re enforcing in their favor. The only word for it is predatory-and that mindset has crept into every position of power; people reveling in their financial power, their political power. Taking their power and shoving it in the faces of everyone below them. You too, if you object.

What’s worse is the seemingly magical spell of apathy about it all that hangs over the land like a toxic pall; a resignation, a denial of the nation’s problems and their causes to the point of either feigned or actual mental retardation. This stems from not only the poor quality of the public schools, but also the commercial mass media that pumps out the same propaganda whether you’re watching ABC, CNN, CBS, MSNBC, or FOX. No not the left-right drivel over hot button social issues designed to be cause for division and distraction but all the problems stated above.

And a lot more… oh so much more than could be practicably listed in an essay.

So that’s where we’re at Officer. How do we solve our problems together-and it is ONLY by being TOGETHER could we begin to solve our problems… how?

Well, to solve a problem you have to know what originally caused the problem. What are all the sources of America’s problems? Let us review the regrettably incomplete list above:

Factories gone, jobs gone-creating economically depressed areas where poverty, deliberately bred lack of morality, drugs and the expectations of the “American Dream” collide to create crime ridden ghettos? First off, it has been official government policy to export American industry and jobs overseas; the Export/Inport Bank is the US government agency tasked with guiding American corporations overseas to the cheapest, least regulated “job markets.” Second, multi-national corporations sponsor and probably even draft treaties like NAFTA and GATT that drop any protective barriers, further draining the corpse that was the American economy.

This latest round of theft-I mean, the economic crash happening as I type this-is all a giant scam to take liabilities like debt and other toxic financial insturments off the books of the rich and have the U.S. government buy it up. Judging from past performance of government agencies, particularly the IRS, the government isn’t just going to write it off… they’ll make ALL OF US pay… for the scams of the ‘elite’. Economic treason-all for a few more bucks.

Selling debt as “credit” wasn’t hard once the jobs started disappearing, the dollars started to buy less and less(as more were printed or created by “credit” by the private Federal Reserve). People needed money. They weren’t getting enough from their jobs as effective wages factoring inflation have declined since 1970. The banks-run by the same upper class crooks as any other corporation-stepped in and offered easier and easier credit. The nation’s debts, the people’s debts, increased at an exponential rate as “keeping up with the Jones” came at a price of the rest of your life.

With the loss of time due to working more and more to make the bills our “public servants” increased taxes, came up with more taxes, fees, fines-all to increase their own revenue. Any and every excuse to nip a few more dollars from us was used… do you know what makes this theft all the more criminal? The government DOESN’T NEED OUR MONEY!

See, governments took money raised from taxes and invested it… they invested it-bought everything from municipal bonds to stocks, to real estate… they invested in whatever they could make a buck off. Government from your hometown to the federal government has invested so much their holdings, including stocks, bonds and real estate comprise the MAJORITY of the American economy. Don’t believe me? Look at your town’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and learn the Truth.

So why all the taxes? Because a poor people are a dependent people. People with their own investments don’t need a corporate wage slave job-get maybe two or three percent of the value back of every dollar you earn your boss… have at least half of that meager crumb stolen by the government. People running their own store or gas station or some other kind of shop don’t have to apply for welfare, which serves as an excuse to not only tax those that do work, but also gives license to the government to run the recipients lives, violating their Rights(remember those?)

Same with most fines; as police officers you issue out fines for speeding or burn out license plate lights or “weaving”-traffic tickets that are mostly b.s. …The person you detained and pulled over wasn’t necessarily driving in an unsafe manner or had a truly dangerous vehicle to drive… there was an opportunity under the traffic laws to bust him and you did it. Now under coercion for basically nothing that driver has to go to court and pay fines… he’s been hit with a tax of opportunity collected by you, an armed individual. Highway robbery! Don’t state it’s for “safety “; that excuse is as abused by government at all levels as “implied”, “reasonable”, “legal”, or “it’s for the children”.

See, the beast this nation’s government has become has incorporated you in its evils. You: disciplined, willing to serve, sacrifice by becoming a police officer, and all around you are slothful, weak, brain dead, heartless fools. Yes, most Americans have been reduced to such so it’s understandable you having that opinion…. ever consider such opinions might be exploited by unscrupulous men who present themselves like you to further detach yourselves from the People?

Everything in America is manipulated; television programming is manipulation on a scale and technique unparalleled. The very technology is based on a visual signal sent at 60 cycles a second-the best rate to induce a hypnotic state. Just start watching the TV and see if you don’t waste a hour or two flipping through channels for something to watch instead of doing something productive? And what’s on the TV? Liberal ideology, lies, and a lot of materialism, cruelty, and egotism; all skewered to dumb everyone’s thought processes down even more than what’s inflicted on us in public schools.

“Public” schools: 12 years of substandard learning, conditioning, and the killing of curiosity and intellect. American schools are patterned after the old Prussian model designed to turn out soldiers for Frederick the Great for the neverending wars he was involved in. Today’s publik skoolz are designed to turn out dumbed down, ignorant, apathetic worker drones. A certain small percentage actually thrive in that enviroment and so are groomed for college-where they’re further conditioned with more knowledge… the kind once taught to everyone a century ago… but more importantly they’re fed the bullshit that they’re the “intelligentsia”, and it’s done by high ranking professors. Couched in nice sounding terms what these people learn is communism-state theft of our Rights, our Property, and our Lives.

They become university professors, bureaucrats, lawyers, politicians, business leaders-our rulers.

Our rulers as described above have a interest in continuing the self-serving system that’s been designed and imposed as a yoke on America. Imposed by very powerful, very smart and very secretive men but going into who they are is beyond the scope of this article. It’s more than enough to try to awaken you to

UNIVERSITY PROFESSORS

Neo-Marxist arrogant nerds who impose a totalitarian collectivist ideology known as “political correctness” to a population already softened by years of bad schools and overtly liberal mass culture. It’s bad enough that, as a group, they show utter contempt for the best about America while daily drubbing young minds in the tragedies and wrongs-these bastards are brainwashing college students to enact the same communist philosophy they preach. Yes, communist: every one of the ten planks of communism have been enacted in this country. Planks you’re charged with enforcing.


“EXPERTS”

Give a useful idiot a degree and they think they’re God. Give that idiot with a degree a position of authority and God help us! This has become a title of authority and Americans are programmed to always obey the “experts”.

It has been “experts” that have redirected the American economy toward divestment of it’s World War Two economic heritage, creating the underlying poverty that crime flourishes in. It has been “experts” that bullshitted generations of Americans into suicidal consumerism, suicidal means of income, suicidal eating of bad food, suicidal political beliefs-yes, suicide is NOT too strong a word to describe what we’ve been conned into doing to ourselves, to have permitted done to us.


CAREER POLITICIANS

Whores in three piece suits who think only of their own power and wealth. They’ve harnessed the political system for their own gain. They’ve spent this nation into the same abyss of debt and deindustrialization that doomed postwar Britain to becoming a dependency of the US-who are they going to make us a dependency of?

BUREAUCRATS

Petty, needling creatures who get their twisted sense of self worth off honest working Americans. Not you nor others you know?

Every day bureaucrats can impose fines, issue summons to court. Every day bureaucrats put people in jail, steal their time, their money, their property. Their edicts are the laws you’re tasked to enforce-without any sense of justice nor weighing the merits of the law yourself.

Don’t try and tell me that’s not true; cops every day judge who is going to get a “field interview”, and issued a fine or arrested. Bureaucrats do the same damn thing only they’re too cowardly to strap on a vest and pistol, they rule behind guarded offices and use you to inflict their petty games on the People.

LAWYERS

Scum who’ve used the government to impose a legalistic Taliban on America. Millions of pages of millions of laws, backed up by millions more pages of millions more regulations to help enforce all those millions of laws in the first place.

Hell, lawyers have been screwing America up since the country’s founding! You can consider this next statement the proverbial bridge too far but the very Constitution you swore an oath to uphold and defend(at your discretion, of course)was rigged in the first place. Provide a illusion, a hologram of liberty but in reality provide the foundational framework for the tyrannical uberstate you serve and we all suffer under.

…There are of course another source of trouble. They enforce what the above pack of traitors decree. Those are your fellow cops.

Many of you instinctually react to the toxic mass media culture, the lack of a foundation of morality. Yes, you should-but the obvious glaring fault there is that you’re operating at about the same level of ignorance as most Americans. And it’s that basic ignorance about what Americans are supposed to be that our common enemies exploit; to them you’re cannon fodder, pawns, useful idiots to wield the batons, the tasers, the German built machine guns.

You are even more conditioned than ordinary Americans. You have to be because, you wield the state’s weapons. So you, full of respect for the law, country go into the police academies…

…Police academies do their best to instill into you that you are a ‘breed apart’; that you ‘can’t count on Citizens’ for assistance, that you could expect a threat from anyone, even children and the elderly. They teach you to look for any legal pretext to ‘make a bust’, even if the law’s ridiculous, or it would be wrong to enforce that law(s).

Then you start serving, patrolling the streets and people hate you, fear you. You retreat further into the police culture, absorbing and adopting the us versus them mentality, the covetous attitude over your powers, the exclusive license you have in keeping and bearing arms. The daily swim in the open sewer two generations of economic warfare and cultural sabotage instituted by our common enemies the 'elite' have created.

Yet your also under pressure from your own department-the way the rules are rigged so that you file out MORE paperwork for letting people off than manufacturing pretext to arrest them. You're under pressure to pick on homeless, attack anyone wearing certain outfits and lifestyles no matter their innocence, come down the hardest on those trying to peacefully reform and simply defend themselves from this toxic society.

Don’t you ever feel like a tool? Don’t you feel used enforcing rules and laws made by elitist lawyers, judged over by elitist lawyers and judges? Don’t you feel the misery you and your fellow cops impose on the People-when you pull them over, stress them out over a cracked windshield, a burnt out license plate light, imposing fines that bust too tight budgets, taking days off for court?

Don’t you feel any guilt when your partner decides to plant evidence to get the bust? Or delete video that could prove innocence? Or decide to arrest Americans just defending themselves? Don’t you feel as much a criminal as any gangbanger when you watch as those ‘cops’ who have no moral boundaries tune someone up for no reason? ‘Pinch’ them in exchange for letting them go? Look forward to serving in riot squads busting women up, pepper spraying small children for peacefully protesting the criminals in government service that pit you against us?

You ever do those things yourself?

Would you do those things to your Spouse, your Parents, your Children, your Friends?

Your silence, your inaction is as good as doing the above crimes against your fellow countrymen yourself.

So what can you do? A lot!


First, network with your fellow officers. Time’s run out on this nation for people to just go about their lives and things need to be done. Find out how many of like-minded cops there are in your department, that will determine what you do from here.

If you have a majority of Patriots you should try taking over the entire department. Run off the thugs and criminals that make the People hate you. Run off the corrupt chief with a revelation of some kind of dirt.

Certainly, begin to go among your neighbors and friends, start getting them ready. Ready not only for the coming horrors but to politically organize them to take back their governments. Ready them by providing the leadership, the discipline and the training to reconstitute the Militia. Yes, the Militia is ALL the People.
If Militia is too harsh a political term for you, call it “neighborhood watch” or whatever. Just so long as you provide those you awaken and activate training and heads up on police state activities.

Anyway, you know gun safety, the basics of shooting, tactics, how to organize and fight. Many of you have military experience. Train and practice in secret and toughen them up. Teach them what and how cops cue in on and how to avoid trouble or at least ameliorate the danger.

You know martial law is coming. You know you’re going to be tasked with going door to door stealing the People’s guns, rounding up dissidents-I have first hand knowledge. Whatever contingency plans you got, keep them secret-TELL NOBODY. Someone will brag, someone will be a snitch.

The military’s being brought back from Iraq and Afghanistan to enforce the final destruction of America. In it’s place will arise a tyranny that once established will not be overthrown for a very long time. Man has struggled for thousands of years to fight for the Freedom we won in the American Revolution. The enemy is crafty, intelligent, ruthless-as you know-and now we face the need for a Second American Revolution to regain our Freedom, to throw off their rule once and for all. Join your fellow Americans…
