Guns blog. Given all the recent calls for firearm confiscation, repeal of
the 2nd Amendment and other proposed violations of the Law of Unintended

Where I won't be tomorrow.
Here at the Georgia Carry 4th Annual Convention. I had hoped to be there to
get together with David Codrea and Len Savage and otherwise hobnob with my
fellow 2nd Amendment wizards, but though the spirit is willing, the flesh
is weak. I regret missing the chance to see if we can get the surveillance
satellites to crash into one another as Len Savage predicted, but I'm just
not up to it. Sorry guys.

NYPD's New $40 Million Super Surveillance System

Bloomberg unveiled NYPD's newest toy: a $40 million dollar Domain
Awareness System (DAS) the other day.
DAS was designed in a joint effort by the NYPD and Microsoft Corp. It
uses data from a network of live feed cameras, radiation detectors,
license plate readers and crime reports.

Accuracy Guarantees
There are a number of rifles and pistols out there with guarantees for
accuracy. Since I’ve been shopping for rifles I’ve had plenty of time to
ponder the question of what a guarantee actually means.
Let’s start with my Sako. I’ve always heard that Sakos have an accuracy
guarantee of 1 MOA. A brief perusal of their website left me unsuccessful
in finding any such guarantee. So it may or may not exist. I think that
one could probably find more examples of companies who are reputed to have
accuracy “guarantees” like this, but that the actual documentation of the
