It is becoming increasingly apparent that the U.S. economy is heading for complete and total disaster. State and local governments across the nation are uncontrollably bleeding red ink. The federal government has accumulated the largest debt in world history. Every year we buy hundreds of billions of dollars more from the rest of the world than they buy from us. That means that we are getting hundreds of billions of dollars poorer as a nation every single year. Meanwhile, thousands of factories and millions of jobs continue to be sent overseas as American cities turn into post-industrial wastelands. Incomes are down, unemployment remains at depressingly high levels and very few of our politicians seem to have any idea how to fix things. Yes, things are really, really bad. So what are some things that we can all be doing to prepare for the coming financial apocalypse?
Well, the truth is that we all need to start becoming less dependent on "the system". If the economy does completely fall apart at some point, your employer is probably not going to take care of you. Neither is the federal government - just look at what happened in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. In the end, you are going to have to take care of yourself and your family.
So are you ready?
Now is the time to prepare. If you wait until things totally fall apart it will be far too late.
The following are 12 simple things that you can start doing right now to prepare for the coming financial apocalypse....
#1 Become Less Dependent On Your Job
Many people define a job as the state of being "just over broke". The truth is that it is incredibly difficult to become financially independent working for someone else. Now, the truth is that most Americans would not be able to survive without a job, but what would you do if someday you suddenly lost your job during a financial apocalypse? Now is the time to start investigating alternate sources of income and different ways to build wealth. Today it takes the average unemployed American over 33 weeks to find a job. You may not always be able to count on being able to get a good job, and the economy is only going to get worse over the long-term. All of us should be operating under the assumption that any jobs we now have will someday be taken away.
#2 Get Out Of Debt
Some people disagree with this, but unless society degenerates into complete chaos or we experience Weimar Republic-type hyperinflation, the truth is that your debts are going to continue to hang over you wherever you go. Getting out of debt can be completely and totally liberating. It will give you much more freedom and will make you far less dependent on your job. In fact, it looks like a lot of Americans are already moving in this direction. It was recently announced that 8 million Americans have stopped using their credit cards over the past year. Why not join them? When things start really falling apart and it is incredibly difficult for anyone to get a job, the last thing you want is a huge amount of debt hanging over your head.
#3 Reduce Expenses
For decades, most Americans have been living far beyond their means. In the future, times are going to be really tough and we are all going to have to learn to tighten our belts. Do you and your family waste money right now? If you can eliminate that, you can live on a smaller income and you will have more money to invest in the things that are really going to matter.
#4 Purchase Land
Real estate is still priced too high in most areas of the United States, but the truth is that you don't want to wait forever to get your hands on a piece of land. If a "financial apocalypse" does happen, you don't want to be stuck in a big city with no place to go. You always want to have somewhere that you can "bug out" to. The U.S. real estate market is continuing to struggle right now, so hopefully prices will come down even more and there will be some really great deals available over the next couple of years.

Another reason why you want to purchase some land is so that you will have somewhere to grow food if you need to. 100 years ago almost all Americans knew how to grow their own food, and most of them also knew how to raise farm animals. Today, relatively few Americans have those skills. A great way to begin is by starting your own "survival garden". If you are not already doing this, then why not start this upcoming year?
#6 Find A Reliable Source Of Water
Water is going to become a very, very valuable resource in the years to come. It will be absolutely key for you and your family to have a dependable source of clean drinking water. If you do not have water you will not be able to survive for long. In the event of an economic meltdown, basic services such as power and water may not be there. So be certain that you and your family have an alternate source of water to depend upon.
#7 Explore Alternative Energy Sources
This point is similar to the one above. Do you think that if a financial apocalypse happens that you will always be able to depend on the power company? The truth is that there is a good reason why so many Americans have been trying to go "off the grid". Without power, life gets really difficult very quickly. But if you are generating your own power then you won't have to worry about that.
#8 Store Supplies
In the event of a major disaster or emergency, store shelves are going to empty really fast. In the future, your paper money may not buy much for you at all, but if you have some gold or silver coins you can always exchange them for the things that you are going to need.

Did you see what happened at stores from coast to coast this past Black Friday? Americans were literally trampling one another just to get their hands on some cheap foreign-made plastic crap. So what do you think is going to happen once these people have been without food for two or three days? SHTF vehicle / Bug Out Vehicle
When the topic of Bug out vehicles is brought up, the most common
denominator is large trucks or 4x4 off road vehicles. Its as if bugging out
means mandatory travels through uncharted trails in the rain forest of
Ecuador or fording the nearest river.

Some Random Thoughts on "Austerity"
At first glance, I was tempted to (and did) view the Greek "austerity"
package as something the Greeks should swallow as a consequence of their
having spent the post-WW2 decades engaged in various degrees of Marxism and
unsustainable economic policies and debt.
That was a first-glance opinion though, and took "austerity" to mean

Yes, We Can
After ten minutes on the phone, and calling two seperate ports of entry, I
finally was able to get a straight answer from DHS/Border Patrol.
The Federal Government, in all of its kind and wonderful beneficence, has
graciously decided to allow US Citizens to bring pumpkins into the country
from Canada.
Yes, we can.

An EPA Boom
From the midst of oil boom country, I can tell you that the EPA is having
sort of a "boom" here too.
Lots of oil activities, so there has been a perceptible ramp-up in
EPA-types.
My unofficial opinion is that they're looking for revenue, and perhaps a
chance to "be a hero" and shut something down.
Reminds me of the six month moratorium right after that deep water oil
spill that everyone was freaking out about.

Am told I will get out within days,
That's both good and bad, The recovery is being described as nothing less
than "miraculous" I still lean to the left and have to have my front step
rebuilt (no handrail) so I can get up and down, in and out. Will have to

It's no secret that there is definitely ill intent in the realm of genetically modified organisms, with the secrecy of the labeling, Europe being denied the ability to shut them out and boycott them, and the simple fact that Monsanto will not allow their own genetically modified products in their own cafeterias. And the criminals rule the roost when farmers can be sued for unwanted contamination of their own crops by GMO pollen from neighboring fields; the mere fact that Monsanto can sue for cross pollination on the grounds of copyright proves beyond all doubt that there is no honesty or integrity in the courts, and as a result we are on our own.Since the system we live within is totally corrupt now, and no one seems to be willing to kill to correct it, (that is the ONLY solution when things get this bad) those of us who are fortunately informed enough to even know what a gmo is will need to find ways to protect ourselves. It's a safe bet the elite are not eating GMO's that are engineered to make them sterile and shorten life span; it's a safe bet that they are not getting tainted vaccines, it's a safe bet that they have ways of skirting the system, and that they have arranged a way to live among us, shop at the same stores, and not be poisoned. Interesting it is then that Codex Alimentarius became integrated into the food supply at the same time GMO foods entered it.
Codex alimentarius could be described as a 100 percent accountable food labeling system. Under codex alimentarius, apples, oranges, bananas, you name it, are labeled with their own stickers placed on each fruit from the moment it leaves the field to the moment it is sold. With Codex Alimentarius, it is not good enough to just label the truck, or an entire pallet, or even an entire banana box, no; There is something about the food now that is SO important that a sticker has to be applied to EVERY individual fruit when harvested, on the spot, until it is sold so that whatever that food product is, it can be known by those who understand the codex alimentarius system exactly what that food product really is. A Golden Delicious apple is not just a "golden delicious" obviously, and Codex alimentarius will ensure that there is no mixing of golden delicious bins.
I am sure that by now, most of my readers have noticed that when you go to the store for an apple, each apple, orange, pear, lemon, banana etc will now have it's own sticker. On that sticker is a number. That number directly identifies WHAT that fruit is, and in no uncertain terms. I believe it is this numbering system, which is a component of codex alimentarius, that will keep the elite safe from intentionally sabotaged foods.
I do not know the code. It has been rumored that a code beginning with 8 denotes GMO but I have no proof of that, so don't take that as advice.
Another aspect of this is Kosher labeling, but after being in the Jewish community myself I am not certain if Kosher labeling, though definitely better than not kosher labeling, is going to be a be all end all answer to food safety. For now it is. But the rabbis specifically told me that ANY rice that is not processed was Kosher, and the same goes for fruits, vegetables, and any other plant based food that has not been processed in any way whatsoever. No mention at all was given to GMO. Yet we have the Monsanto rats and other experiments to prove that all is not well there, and I believe that at least for now, the Kosher label ensures none of that will be in your soup. It's only a belief though, no one ever told me directly, I was simply instructed to eat only Kosher. Certainly if the Kosher mark or circled U starts showing up on bags of rice, it will be a red flag like no other.
The reason why I am not certain Kosher is the be all end all is rooted in the way the Jewish community idolizes Bill Gates and the Rothchild family. It's like a cult. No matter what Bill Gates says, with many Jews it is gospel. And the Rothchilds are a step up from there. The Jews have a belief that God rewards good people with great wealth, because they will use it correctly in their righteousness, and that poor people have been stripped of all wealth because allowing them access to wealth will enable them to corrupt society. So what we have in the Jewish community is a defacto cult which worships wealth, and anyone with a lick of religious sense ought to know what that means. And I will expound on this.
Because the mega wealthy have used dishonest predatory tactics to gain their wealth, they are far from righteous. "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God". We have all heard that scriptural quote, and that is the position I take. And I believe that this cult of wealth is no different from the Jamestown cult, and that these super elite people will have absolutely no qulams about murdering or destroying the people in the Jewish community who are below them when all others have been ruined and there is no one else left to subjugate. The elite need to feed their egos endlessly, and will not stop in that effort until they completely destroy their base, which in the end, after all is lost for the rest of us, will be the Jewish community.
So I don't expect Kosher labeling to remain a safe haven forever. An alternative system needs to be in place to make sure "Sir Rothchild" never takes a bite of a poison apple. And I believe Codex Alimentarius will be that system, and unlike Kosher, which is easy to determine via only 30 or so major Kosher marks, with two being totally predominant, Codex alimentarius is going to have it's secrets put in the numbers.
We need to figure out that numbering system NOW and not later. Bananas have been engineered to grow live viruses that can deliver vaccines, Corn has been engineered to make you sterile, and unlike what has been widely said in the alternative media, wheat, rice, potatoes, breadfruit, and many other staple food crops have already been engineered for this purpose, and are sitting on store shelves now. Obviously fruits are going to be the medium for carrying the super nasty stuff, because they are seldom cooked, and delivered to be eaten live and fresh. This will ensure the viral payload remains intact. Due to the manner in which they are normally eaten, fruits are the obvious choice for complex biological modifications which include having viruses be produced by the fruit itself.
With European nations now banned from refusing GMO foods, and with the reluctance of the American government to enforce GMO labeling, I believe it is prudent to consider ALL foods tainted until proven otherwise. For now I believe Kosher is a refuge. But we all ought to know by now that a company like Monsanto will never be punished for lying about it's product, and will face no successful prosecution for mis labeling seeds and sending them out the door as non GMO when they are GMO. It is obvious the choice has already been made, they fully intend to RAM GMO DOWN OUR THROATS, like it or not, until hell freezes over. There is a reason for the seed vaults in the arctic, which will be accessed when the goal of GMO has been accomplished and a fresh start is needed.
There is a reason why farmers can be prosecuted for re-planting seeds they believed were the original strains, just because a little monsanto pollen drifted their way and showed up in a test. These infringement lawsuits by Monsanto are serving the purpose of destroying all refuge from GMO, even if that refuge is a little bit tainted, by allowing a venue through which farmers who are bucking the system can be destroyed. And obviously, when a governmental system becomes totally corrupt, prosecution flows the wrong direction and punishes the victim. It has to end that way for corruption to fully triumph.
There is more to this story, and Codex Alimentarius is at the root of it. If Anonymous ever had a code worthy of cracking, Codex Alimentarius would be the one. And since no one seems to want to go out and kill the perpetrators, and we have instead chosen to fall back on a peace sign and cry on a lawn somewhere only to be pepper sprayed and jailed for even that, it seems a hack may be our only hope.

Officially, the unemployment rate in America for the month of September was only 7.8 per cent, but that statistic stems from only the number of citizens who have been actively searching for a paycheck. In reality, only around 5 per cent of the adult population in the US is unemployed in the eyes of the government, because they have been handing in applications during the four weeks before the Labor Department conducted their research. The real figures, however, reveal a much scarier statistic.
"The employment-to-population ratio is the best measure of labor market conditions and it currently shows that there has been almost no improvement whatsoever over the past three years," Paul Ashworth, chief North American economist for Capital Economics, writes in a note to clients obtained by CNN. That figure, which accounts for the proportion of working Americans compared with the number of adults in the country, is a lot higher than 8 per cent.
For now, 58.7 per cent of American adults are working if the actual employment-population ratio is taken into consideration, leaving about 82 million, or almost 41 per cent of people unemployed. Only 8 per cent, however, are even interested in work, leaving 33 per cent of Americans not only jobless — but with no desire for work.
"The ratio expresses more clearly how many people find working to be a 'good or attractive deal,'" Tyler Cowen, economist and director of the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, adds to CNN.
If the numbers seem drastic, it’s because they are. So rampant in fact is the country’s seeming disregard for work that other just-released statistics show that funding welfare programs for the American population was the most expensive endeavor undertaken in all of Fiscal Year 2011.

A GUN PHOTOGRAPHER OVERSTEPS HIMSELF

I am a great fan of armed and trained civilians. Do I detect a bias right off the bat? But I’d like to point out that the “hundreds of thousands of deer hunters” are no military snipers and do not overmatch regular infantry. They do when they're armed with M4s! A very well trained rifleman with a sub-MOA rifle can indeed score a first shot hit on a 500 yard foe. What happens then?
The hit may be stopped by the armor. Why you aim for the head or groin. If effective, the hit may be fatal or not: due to better emergency medicine in the army, they will save most of their non-immediate casualties. Irregulars have historically lost over half of their wounded. Historically don't necessarily apply to the particular situation-your terrain and escape routes do.
The direction of the sniper would be indicated by the backsplatter from the wound. In case of a miss, the projectile trace in earth or trees would just about pinpoint the location of the shooter. Maybe, but more than likely not if the shooter's done his job at concealing himself. At which point, the infantry would use smoke to obscure themselves from the shooter, unless there are other shooters flanking the gungrabbers make his egress perilous with suppressive fire waste ammo and get close enough to exact retribution. They have to get close enough to begin with. The civilian shooter would have no land mines to disrupt their progress. A rifle squad of 'civilians' though...
A really good shooter can make 500 yards hits on bullseye targets. Can he do as well on camouflaged foes who move, use cover and can put literally a hundred times his rate of fire with their squad MG or SAW? Not if he makes his shots count. An individual rifleman might be limited to 300 yards BS, but a SAW with a scope fired from a bipod can reach out more than twice as far.
Assuming that the sniper can manage to retain his stand-off distance, what can he do about air or artillery response. SHOOT AND SCOOT Insurgents world-wide have to brave close combat to get away from the firepower available to the regulars with one radio call. Against well-designed sniper hides that cannot be reached by artillery or airpower, short-range rockets would be used. The hide would have to escape detection in visible, near and far infrared ranges to remain secure. MYLAR BITCH
Multiple snipers might do better, but the regulars can just continue using smoke to remain safe from long shots while encircling the whole area and plastering it with mortars or just mining the perimeter and leaving it at that.

Most hunters may be marksmen, but they aren’t even snipers — that skill set goes far beyond the basics of fieldcraft and marksmanship required to bring down deer. STICK TO TAKING PICTURES DORK.
For that reason, the reliance on armed response indicates a loss for the side forced to fight as insurgents. The kind of expedients required for a successful guerrilla campaign tend to warp all participants out of recognition as the “forces of good”. So our best bet is political proselytizing and raising the next generation to love freedom, and to respect the freedoms of others. The opium pipe dreams of the “restoration of the Republic” through another revolution are best left for those who don’t much value a connection to reality.
