A picture worth a thousand tyrant's fears.
Killer Tomato Cass Sunstein wrote an op-ed for Bloomberg last week entitled Gun Debate Must Avoid Crazy 2nd Amendment Claims. It contains the usual collectivist bilge but it was the illustration to the article which drew my attention. I suppose that this is the "Founders wrote the Second Amendment at the time of single-shot smoothbore muskets so that's all you're guaranteed" argument illustrated in pen and ink. $200 NFA Extortion Stamp Well, the ever benevolent Dianne Feinstein will 'let' you keep your current rifles and handguns (yep, she's going after handguns too) under her 'new and improved AWB' by grandfathering them in...for a price.There's this little part at the end of her AWB Legislation Summary: Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act, to include:

I call *Bullshit!* ** So now you have NRA and GOA calling for expansion of Prohibited Persons via a Mental Health database. Perhaps they will one day make the claim "*We had no choice but to throw the baby under the bus to save the carriage!*" And there will be some who believe it.
