Combat Studies Group
I must've drank an extra cup or two of stupid/lamebrain recently (please hold comments until the end).I have previously linked to, and thought I added the Combat Studies Group website to my blog list. Well. I sure didn't, for whatever reason.I have now fixed the problem, and CSG's site is on the blogroll.I highly recommend that you make that site a daily stop.Really.It's run by a good guy with "IRL" experience.
Further Thoughts
I wanted to say something I left out of this post from yesterday.I talked about an op in that post, and used it as an example of using the basics as a base level of common understanding and proficiency that allowed the team to act choesively when "the plan" went to crap.Because plans, in real life, *always *go to crap.In fact, I can't think of a time when a plan *ever *went according to plan when I was an NCO, except in a classroom-type environment. Fighting the Fight- Not the Plan
I thought, for a long while, that warfare could be categorized into different “generations”.
