NYT: Election Spurred a Move to Codify U.S. Drone Policy
"The matter may have lost some urgency after Nov. 6. But with more than 300 drone strikes and some 2,500 people killed by the Central Intelligence Agency and the military since Mr. Obama first took office, the administration is still pushing to make the rules formal and resolve internal uncertainty and disagreement about exactly when lethal action is justified."
Harry Reid Triumphant.
GOP warns of shutdown over filibuster. Right. They don't have the collective spine to sustain it. McConnell will cave at the first negative New York Times editorial.

"Pump shotguns tend to be very reliable and easy to use in stressful conditions. Should you ever need to use a firearm in defense of yourself or another, reliability and ease of use are significant benefits."

III Congress
I have said before and will again: Every single problem facing Patriots today has been asked and answered already. We have the blueprint for recovering Liberty. I am not writing this post to debate any of my assertions, so please don't bother. The only thing I want to hear at the end of this post is: *Does the proposal improve our odds of success, or not*? *Do we move forward on this path, or not*?I am proposing the below and I want everyone to know that I am still deciding if *I* will move forward. I don't want to waste anyone's time, resources or energy. I want to make su...more »
Nothing to See Here, Just Another Video of Cop Shooting A Dog
COMMERCE CITY - When Kenny Collins called police about an unfamiliar dog loose in his neighborhood, he had no idea his neighbor was dog sitting for a relative. He had no idea it would end in tragedy. "I called police because I saw a dog wandering loose out front," Collins said. Collins' neighbor was watching a large breed dog for her cousin who was out of the town for the holidays.
Obama fires 20,000 Marines, promises billions to Muslim green energy
Well, of course.
Just got back from my first gunshow viewed from wheelchair level.
My recovery from the strokes has been good, but while I can walk further and better than at anytime since the strokes, I don't have a whole lot of stamina and begin to go wobbly on my pins after a while. So, with the help of a friend, I did it in a wheelchair. The show was, for me, a complete disappointment. Matt had sent some money so I could find him some items, but they were not to be found. For myself, I was simply looking for some cheap empty ChiCom/Soviet style wooden crates to nest two M19A1 cans per in (like the one below) to finish out a previous reloading job. In the p...more »
"Give me that old time (gun control) religion." The utter, complete and abject failure of the citizen disarmament lobby.
We will mark the forty-fifth year of the Gun Control Act of 1968 next year. Since then we have had forced upon us various other unconstitutional restrictions -- Brady, the "Assault Weapons Ban," Lautenberg, etc. -- each giving more power to (and encouraging more misadventures from) the agency created to enforce those laws -- the ATF. But what has been the practical effect of these restrictions, apart from the lives ruined and people killed in their name?A relevant snippet from Congressional Research Service report RL32842, "Gun Control Legislation" by William J. Krouse, Specialis...more »
Full Distance Appleseed: Day 1 in Detail
I haven’t really discussed the full experience of the full distance Appleseed yet. They call it “known distance”, which it is, but 25 meters is also a “known distance”. “Actual distance” would probably be the most accurate descriptor, since the words “full distance” give the impression of being at maximum range, but “full distance sounds catchier. Sorry for that, I have a habit of thinking about words a little bit.A bit about the shooting niche that Appleseed fulfills. I consider it reasonable intermediate distance (100-500 yards) marksmanship on targets that can be seen with...more »
