This Is What A Police State Looks Like - SWAT Evicts Elderly Woman
This happened yesterday here in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Never saw or heard a peep about it on the news Pravda.
In this case, U.S. Bank used a SWAT team to evict an elderly woman from her home.
Yesterday a highly militarized police force arrived at the home of
63 year old Sahara Donahue to evict her from her residence of 24 years.
She was petitioning US Bank for an additional 60 days to
Oh Sandy, II
I hope everyone is watching the headlines from the areas that were hit by
Sandy.
If you had any doubts about how thin the veneer is between "Civilized
Citizen" and "Me first", those doubts should be put to rest. Looting and
fights over gasoline, even when FRN's are still worth something. The
aftermath of Sandy, particularly how people conduct themselves, should
affirm for everyone that commodities are more valuable than FRNs and even
gold in a SHTF world.
The S has not HTF in Sandy's wake. These are minor delays and
inconveniences.
In a real SHTF world, there will be no re-su... more »
Clearing Out Some Detritus
These thoughts will not be popular.
They will be criticized, flamed, and ridiculed.
I expect and accept that fully as a consequence of posting my
unapologetic thoughts and opinions online.
They are not well-organized; I wrote them as they came.
I expect and accept the "consequences" of that, too.
Either will mean about as much (little) to me as the other.

Obama’s inauguration reverend: All whites are going to hell.
*All white people are going to hell, longtime African-American civil rights
advocate Rev. Joseph Lowery told an audience at a get-out-the-vote event
held Oct. 27 in Georgia.
Lowery, who gave the benediction at the January 2009 inauguration of
President Barack Obama, told the audience of up to 300 African-Americans
“that when he was a young militant, he used to say all white folks were
going to hell. Then he mellowed and just said most of them were. Now, he
said, he is back to where he was,” according to an Oct. 31 report... more »
David Codrea: Texas church bludgeoning shows no place is safe from violence
A pastor of a North Texas church has been beaten to death by an assailant
using an electric guitar, The Dallas Morning News reported yesterday. Rev.
Danny Kirk of the Greater Sweethome Missionary Baptist Church in Forest
Hill was killed and a church custodian suffered a broken jaw after their
attacker rammed his car into the building, jumped out and went after them.
It took the arrival of police to stop the attack, but by then, the damage
to the victims had been done.
Kurt Hofmann: 'The guys with the guns make the rules'; anti-gun groups know it, prefer it
And it's all an act. Every one of these anti-gun groups supports the power
of government to enforce its will on the people through force of arms. CSGV
is quite explicit about it, with constant demands for a "government
monopoly on force." And CSGV, the distaste for "gun violence" implied by
the group's name notwithstanding, is not the least bit shy about wanting
the government to use that force.
The Melding of Rifle and Man
*First of all, the rifle update:*
*-505 Rounds so far.*

*-12 Cold Bore shots- *I've started to notice a "shifting zero"
phenomenon. I'm keeping
track of things like when I take it out of the stock, weather, etc...
I've also noticed in
some dot drills that there might be some regularity to the shifting,
which could point
to me. I'll keep you updated.

in the process
of killing a pigeon.

Are We Electing a Pastor-In-Chief?
Theonomy Resources links to this article by Geoffrey Botkin, a former
political consultant.
Please read Mr. Botkin's entire article. I believe it is important.
Thanks to Theonomy Resources for highlighting it.
The article begins thusly:
*I remember the first time I heard the political slogan, “Hey, we’re not
electing a pastor-in-chief. . .”*
*It was twenty years ago. Bill Clinton had just secured the Democratic
nomination for president. I thought the phrase was simply another passing
political fad, especially when I heard college girls trying it out on each
other. They tried out ... more »

Liberty in my lifetime
If I live to die of natural causes at an average age, I will live to see
Rightful Liberty exercised in my lifetime. I have no intention of letting
the next generation be responsible for doing the work we must do now, the
work our fathers should have done then, and our grandfathers when they had
their chance. I see many blogs in our community advocating that we should
educate our children for the fight that will come in *their* lifetimes,
after we are gone.
I say: Bunk.
If we hand to the next generation an America void of Rightful Liberty, I
will consider my life to have been w... more »

Great LED headlamp: Petzl Tikka Plus 2
One of the first recommendations I made when first writing about urban
survival was how great headlamps are. Though they are more commonly used
for hiking, climbing and cave exploration, the ability to have both hands
free makes a big difference. Even though “tactical” lights have their place
and a small LED light can be invaluable, one thing I learned from my years
of irregular electrical power supply was that when the lights go out
frequently you just have to get on with your life in spite of it. This
means preparing food, washing the dishes, cleaning, working, fixing stuff,

Yellow Belt Karate Gal kicks the snot out of Intruder
Jannine Ramirez in California returned home to the apartment she shares
with her mother, and found a guy in the bathroom. He had no business in
her bathroom.
So, she kicked him out of the bathroom and kept kicking him until he was
out of the apartment.
Now, I can promise this to you: A yellow belt in any martial art does not
have the martial skills to kick an intruder out of an apartment, even if he
is 10 years old. But Jannine Ramirez had it *in her heart* to kick an
intruder from her apartment.
The lesson is simple: Tools and skills are useless if you refuse to use
them. A... more »

Deer Hunters as Defenders of Liberty
There is talk about how many riflemen live in America, and whether that
group of people can be an effective force against the State.
Militia.
Not an organized militia like OVM, filled with men and women who train and
study and walk the walk.
But an unorganized militia, much like the Founders and Framers had in mind.
Is not the very definition of the unorganized militia essentially: Guys and
gals with their own firearms and gear showing up to defend home & hearth?
Will not the unorganized militia consist of former military members who
bring much to the table? Will there not b... more »
